Welcome to The Smile Outreach Volunteer Onboarding Course

We’re excited to have you on board as a potential volunteer for Smile Outreach, an organization dedicated to bringing positive change to our communities. Our goal is to uplift and empower those who need it most by addressing key issues such as health, education, and social well-being.

At Smile Outreach, we believe that every volunteer has the ability to make a lasting impact. We offer a variety of programs designed to cater to different areas of interest and expertise. During this introduction, we will walk you through the programs we currently run, so you can identify the one that best aligns with your skills, passions, and values.

Our Pillars – What We DO

We operate on several fronts to achieve our mission:

Adolescent Health and Education: We provide comprehensive educational programs that focus on crucial topics such as sexual grooming, menstrual equity, and sexual and reproductive health rights (SRHR). By educating adolescents about these issues, we aim to empower them to make informed decisions about their health and well-being.
Youth Agency and Leadership: Through our initiatives like the Outreach Youth Lab, we train and support emerging youth leaders. We equip them with the skills and resources needed to drive social change within their communities. This program includes a six-month intensive training that covers advocacy strategies, media campaigns, and community development.
Women’s Empowerment: We are committed to promoting gender equality and ensuring that women have equal rights and opportunities. Our programs address gender-based violence, provide support for menstrual health, and combat harmful traditional practices such as female genital mutilation (FGM).
Community Engagement and Advocacy: We work closely with local communities to create supportive environments for open discussions and education on sensitive topics. Our approach involves engaging parents, educators, and community leaders to ensure the sustainability of our efforts.
